Before you speak with counsel, you can make your initial consultation far more productive by gathering a few key items. This is especially important for people who have moved multiple times around Pennsylvania (or who split records across providers).
Bring or compile:
- Your service/residence timeline (years and locations; approximate is okay—just be consistent)
- Medical records showing diagnosis dates, treatment history, and follow-up care
- Any documentation that helps connect time/place to exposure (orders, assignments, housing records, or similar proof)
- A list of current conditions and symptoms and when they first appeared
Even if you don’t have everything, that’s common. The goal is to identify what’s missing and what can be obtained while memories are still accurate and records are still retrievable.
