Burn injuries in our area often involve circumstances tied to everyday life and local work settings—tight schedules, quick turnarounds at job sites, and household routines that can lead to accidents. A calculator may recognize categories (scald, chemical, thermal, fire), but it can’t account for how your injury affected your ability to keep up with responsibilities here, including:
- Work constraints around hot environments, equipment handling, and physical demands
- Treatment follow-through (appointments, transportation, and recovery time)
- Home and caregiving impacts when you can’t safely perform daily tasks during healing
That’s why two people with the same “burn type” can have very different outcomes depending on documentation, prognosis, and liability.
