Burn injuries don’t always stop progressing after the first day. In many cases, the real costs show up after the initial emergency visit—through follow-up wound care, prescription changes, scar management, therapy, and sometimes additional procedures.
An AI estimate may prompt you to enter inputs like burn severity, treatment dates, and time away from work. That can be useful for thinking through categories of damages, but it’s not the same as a case assessment based on:
- Documentation of depth and progression (how the burn evolved)
- Treatment justification (why certain care was medically necessary)
- Functional impact (how burns affect grip, mobility, sleep, and daily living)
- Future medical outlook (what providers say may be needed later)
If the calculator range doesn’t match your reality, that doesn’t automatically mean you’re wrong—it often means the tool can’t see the evidence that lawyers and adjusters rely on.
