Online calculators typically ask for details like burn type, treatment, and scarring. In practice, those inputs don’t capture the specifics that insurance carriers in Oregon rely on:
- How the injury changed your function (hand sensitivity, mobility limits, sleep disruption)
- Whether medical treatment followed the expected course and how consistently it was documented
- Whether causation is clear—what actually caused the burn, and how the injury pattern matches that explanation
- Whether future care is likely (scar management, possible additional procedures, therapy needs)
In other words, a calculator can help you organize questions. It usually can’t tell you what a claim is worth once a carrier reviews the record.
