Most AI tools work by taking your answers—burn type, treatment, time off work, and severity signals—and then projecting a rough range based on patterns from other cases. In Mentor, that can still be helpful for organizing questions, especially if you’re trying to understand which categories typically matter.
But here’s what an AI estimate generally cannot do:
- Verify causation (whether the burn is consistent with the incident you reported)
- Assess your prognosis (whether you’ll need additional procedures, scar management, or therapies later)
- Evaluate credibility issues that often arise in claims handled by insurers
- Translate your real-world limitations into legal damage categories the way an attorney’s evidence review does
In other words: treat AI as a worksheet, not a verdict.
