Online tools can be a starting point, but they don’t understand the specifics that shape value in real life—especially in a community where many residents commute to industrial employers, healthcare facilities, and construction-related work.
An AI calculator generally can’t:
- review your burn depth, location, or whether you needed grafting
- evaluate whether you’re dealing with nerve pain, hypersensitivity, or scar contractures
- confirm how your burn affects the way you perform your job (lifting, gripping, standing, typing, driving, etc.)
- predict how your treatment course may change under Ohio’s medical reality (follow-up care, specialty wound care, therapy frequency, and ongoing scar management)
What that means for you: if you rely on a calculator alone, you may underestimate costs that show up later—or overestimate what an insurer will accept.
