Online calculators typically work from generalized patterns: burn type, treatment, and how long you missed work. But in a town where many residents juggle commuting, part-time schedules, and family responsibilities, burns often create “paper trails” that matter more than a guessed figure—things like:
- Follow-up visits and whether treatment stayed consistent after the emergency room
- Photos of the burn and later scarring stages (often requested by adjusters)
- Work status records (missed shifts, restricted duty, or job changes)
- Receipts and travel related to therapy and specialist care
When those items are missing, insurers frequently argue that the injury was less severe—or that later complications were unrelated. The calculator can’t resolve that dispute. A legal strategy can.
