Burn injuries can worsen in ways people don’t expect. Even when the initial incident seems straightforward—like a scald from a hot dish, a grease fire, a steam-related workplace incident, or contact with a hot surface—the long-term picture can change.
AI tools may produce a range based on general patterns, but they can’t:
- review your medical record depth and burn severity documentation
- confirm how your burn is affecting function (movement, skin sensitivity, daily tasks)
- predict whether you’ll need follow-up procedures such as scar management or additional care
In NC, insurers commonly focus on whether the evidence supports both liability (who is responsible) and causation (whether your medical condition matches the incident). If the estimate doesn’t reflect the strength of that evidence, it can be misleading.
