In a smaller, more densely connected community, insurers may still push the same themes they use everywhere—but the practical outcome often depends on what records you can produce quickly and consistently:
- Treatment continuity: Did you attend follow-up appointments after the initial ER visit?
- Photographic evidence: Are there clear records of the burn’s appearance over time (not just one early photo)?
- Work and commuting impact: Did the burn affect your ability to stand, lift, drive, or manage a typical Mount Vernon commute to jobs in the Bronx and Westchester?
- Home and caregiver disruption: Can you show how recovery changed daily responsibilities?
A tool can’t verify any of those facts. For a real settlement, your evidence has to match the story.
