Burn injuries in our area often start in settings where people assume the harm is minor at first—then complications show up later. For example:
- Cooking and grease fires at home (including burns from splatter and steam)
- Workplace thermal and electrical burns in industrial environments
- Hot surfaces and equipment contact in warehouses, maintenance work, and service trades
- Storm-related property damage leading to electrical hazards during cleanup
- Public-facing events and tourism activity, where burns can occur and documentation may be harder to reconstruct
Even if the initial burn looks manageable, the medical record may later show deeper tissue involvement, infection risk, nerve sensitivity, restricted movement, or scarring that requires ongoing treatment.
