Online tools can be useful for brainstorming, but they’re not designed around the way Minnesota insurers evaluate burn claims. In practice, adjusters often focus on:
- Whether the medical record matches the incident (timing, burn pattern, and progression)
- Whether treatment was consistent with the severity (ER care, follow-ups, therapy, prescriptions)
- Whether future care is supported (scar management, possible procedures, rehab needs)
- How your day-to-day function changed (work restrictions, mobility limits, hypersensitivity)
A generic estimate can’t verify causation, can’t read your operative notes, and can’t tell you whether your long-term symptoms are documented enough to support compensation in negotiations.
