Burn injuries in our area frequently trace back to predictable environments:
- Home incidents: cooking accidents, grease fires, malfunctioning appliances, and heater/water-heater problems.
- Workplace injuries: contact with hot surfaces, steam exposure, molten materials, electrical incidents, and equipment that wasn’t maintained or guarded.
- Visitor-driven risk: when guests and out-of-town workers are present—there’s often less familiarity with exits, safety practices, or building hazards.
Because the starting point matters, an AI estimate that doesn’t account for where the burn happened (and who had a duty to keep the area safe) can miss major value drivers.
