AI tools typically work by asking for inputs like burn type, treatment timeline, scarring severity, and time missed from work. They may generate a range based on patterns seen in other cases.
But an AI output is only as good as the information you feed it—and it can’t:
- read your hospital discharge papers or follow-up burn clinic notes
- evaluate whether your injury is consistent with the incident that was reported
- predict whether you’ll need additional procedures months later (common in deeper burns)
In Alsip, we frequently see claims where an early “rough” evaluation doesn’t match how the injury evolves—especially when swelling, nerve pain, or scar management continues long after the initial ER visit.
