Many AI tools generate a range based on simplified inputs—burn severity, treatment, and whether you lost work. The problem is that burn claims are highly evidence-driven.
In practice, insurers focus on questions like:
- Was the burn consistent with the incident described? (For example: scald vs. thermal vs. chemical.)
- How long did the injury require active treatment? (Dressings, debridement, grafting, antibiotics.)
- Did you have documented functional limits? (Hand sensitivity, reduced range of motion, difficulty performing job tasks.)
- What’s the forward-looking prognosis? (Scar management, therapy, future procedures.)
An AI estimate doesn’t review your records, your photos, your operative reports, or the details that make the case credible to a claims adjuster.
