In our area, fractures frequently happen in scenarios that can be hard to “prove at first glance.” For example:
- Traffic collisions on busy corridors where multiple vehicles and lane changes complicate fault.
- Tourism and seasonal travel where witnesses may be passing through and memories fade quickly.
- Pedestrian and crosswalk incidents—injuries can be real, but insurers may minimize how the crash impacted the bone.
- Residential slip-and-fall environments (pool decks, sidewalks, uneven pavement, landscaping hazards) where property conditions are debated.
When insurers think they can frame the injury as unrelated, “minor,” or pre-existing, they may offer early settlement numbers that don’t match the medical reality.
