Bessemer has plenty of scenarios where fractures happen fast and the story gets blurred just as quickly:
- Commuter traffic collisions: Rear-end impacts and intersection crashes can lead to wrist, ankle, hip, or back fractures. Insurers often argue about speed, lane position, or whether the mechanism “matches” the imaging.
- Slip-and-fall injuries in retail and service areas: Wet floors, uneven surfaces, and delayed cleanup are common dispute points. The question becomes how long the hazard existed and whether warnings were provided.
- Construction and industrial workplace incidents: Unsafe conditions, rushed work, inadequate equipment, and failure to follow safety protocols can result in traumatic fractures.
In all of these situations, the opposing side may try to minimize the injury by claiming it was pre-existing, unrelated, or caused by something other than the incident you reported.
