In our experience, anesthesia-related harm often shows up after the procedure—sometimes during recovery, sometimes after discharge—through patterns like:
- breathing trouble or prolonged oxygen needs in the post-op period
- unexpected sedation depth issues (too light or too deep)
- dosing timing problems that correlate with vitals changes
- lingering nerve symptoms, severe dizziness, or cognitive effects that persist
- complications that are attributed to “risk,” but appear preventable with earlier recognition
Even if the initial explanation sounds plausible, the legal question is whether the care met Ohio’s standard of reasonable medical practice for the circumstances.
